S M Shakhawat Hossain (Sujon) was born into a respected Muslim family in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His father, a retired government officer and a Bir Mukti Juddha, proudly served in the Bangladesh Liberation War, shaping Sujon’s values of integrity and patriotism.
He began his academic journey at Mirpur Bangla High School and College and later pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies at Green University of Bangladesh, where he was awarded the prestigious Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal for academic excellence. Furthering his education, he completed a Master of Arts in Film and Media Studies from Stamford University Bangladesh.
In 2015, Sujon gained national recognition after winning a short film competition organized by Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) and SNV Netherlands Development Organization, a milestone that marked the beginning of his career in the creative media industry.
Over the past decade, Sujon has played significant roles in Bangladesh’s media landscape. Known for his honesty, creativity, and dedication, he has worked on various media and development-focused projects with a strong sense of purpose and professionalism. His ability to take on diverse responsibilities reflects his dynamic skill set and unwavering commitment to excellence.
In January 2025, S M Shakhawat Hossain (Sujon) was appointed as the Director of Media & Communication at GLOBAL VISTA LIMITED, where he leads media strategy, public relations, and communication efforts to amplify the organization’s mission for youth empowerment and global engagement.
